Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BlabberBug, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use BlabberBug. You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.

2. Description of Service

BlabberBug is a bug reporting tool consisting of a Chrome browser extension for recording bugs (screen capture, console logs, network requests, user actions) and a web dashboard for managing, reviewing, and submitting AI-generated bug reports to project management tools.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and account
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Record content you do not have the right to capture (e.g., copyrighted material, confidential information belonging to others)
  • Capture personally identifiable information of other individuals without their consent
  • Use BlabberBug for any illegal or harmful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of BlabberBug
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service

5. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or generate through BlabberBug, including recordings, logs, and AI-generated reports. By using the service, you grant BlabberBug a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (e.g., generating AI reports, submitting issues to integrations).

6. Third-Party Services and API Keys

BlabberBug integrates with third-party services including Deepgram, OpenRouter, Linear, GitHub, Jira, and Slack. You are responsible for:

  • Providing your own API keys for third-party services
  • Reviewing and complying with the terms, pricing, and data handling policies of each third-party service
  • Any costs incurred through your use of third-party APIs

BlabberBug is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or data handling practices of third-party services.

7. Chrome Extension Permissions

The BlabberBug Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

  • tabCapture -- captures your current tab for screen recording
  • activeTab -- accesses the currently active tab to capture page information
  • storage -- stores your authentication token, backend URL, and microphone preference locally on your device
  • scripting -- injects scripts to capture console logs, network requests, and user actions during recording
  • offscreen -- creates an offscreen document for audio transcription processing
  • alarms -- manages recording session timing and cleanup

8. Intellectual Property

The BlabberBug name, branding, and source code are owned by the operator. AI-generated bug reports created through your use of the service are owned by you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

BlabberBug is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service
  • The accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content
  • That the service will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

BlabberBug is operated by an individual. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BlabberBug and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

11. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard settings
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms
  • Upon account deletion, all your data (recordings, reports, logs, credentials) is permanently removed

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of BlabberBug after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
